Adding shipping agent calendars enables you to specify which weekdays are available for pick-up and which are available for delivery.
To configure shipping calendars, go to Departments/ShipIT/Administration/Setup/Shipping Agent Calendars.

Field Desription
Shipping Agent Code Specifies the shipping agent.
Shipping Agent Service Code Specifies the shipping agent service.
Pick-up Time From Specifies the earliest pick-up time.
Pick-up Time To Specifies the latest pick-up time.
Pick-up Base Calendar Code Specifies the base calendar to use to determine the available weekdays.
Delivery Time From Specifies the earliest delivery time.
Delivery Time To Specifies the latest delivery time.
Delivery Base Calendar Code Specifies the base calendar to use to determine the available weekdays.

Example:

Settings:

  • Shipping agent: DHL
  • Shipping agent service: STANDARD
  • Pick-up Time From: 9:00
  • Pick-up Time To: 17:00
  • Pick-up Base Calendar:
  • Delivery Time From: 13:00
  • Delivery Time To: 18:00
  • Delivery Base Calendar:
  • Shipping time (shipping agent service): 1 day (1D)

Result:
Transport orders for DHL/STANDARD will be picked up between 9:00 and 17:00 on business days. Not on Saturdays and Sundays.
If a transport order is created after 17.00, pick-up will be scheduled for the next day. Unless the next day is a Saturday on Sunday. In that case, pick-up will be scheduled for Monday 9:00-17:00.
One day (shipping time) will be added to the pick-up date and set as the delivery date. Unless the next day is a Sunday. In that case the delivery will be scheduled for Monday 13:00-18:00.

* Shipping agent calendars were added in version 5.10.
